I have a panel with a report that show the number of employees that the company has by gender, and I added a Competence Date filter (date referring to payrolls) but it is not working. "Competence Date" is linked to the "Payroll" dataset, which in turn is linked to the "Employees" dataset. How can I make this filter work?
Dear Community,we are facing the issue of users navigating to the dashboards page from the workspace list page when the user only has VIEW permission for the workspace. We have a user with VIEW permission for the workspace, He has access to dashboards in the workspace. When a user logs into the GoodData Cloud website, he is redirected to the page with a list of workspaces. He can see the workspace in the list of workspace, but the item (workspace name) is not clickable. It shows only a tooltip saying that more permissions are needed. So he can’t go to the page with dashboards in the workspace. When he displays dashboards via direct URL, he can see the dashboards. When we assign ANALYZE permission to the user, the workspace name in the list of workspace become clickable and the user is able to go to the page with a list of dashboards. Is there any way how the user with VIEW permissions can go to dasboards page of the workspace after login? Many thanks in advance.Tomas Hoch
Has anyone successfully changed the Start of Week in Insights and Dashboards to reflect a Mon-Sun week instead of the default Sun-Sat. I’ve updated the two configuration settings and the user account setting (as per article below) to reflect Monday as the start Day but all insights insist on staying as Sun-Sat.https://help.gooddata.com/doc/enterprise/en/dashboards-and-insights/change-date-format/
Is it possible to have a field visible on a dashboard or insight that allows updating of a variable without having to use the manage page?I have looked through the documentation and have seen it is possible to update variables using the API but was wondering if there is a way of doing this directly in a dashboard. Thanks in advance
Hi,When I’m following `Explore from here` option on the dashboard, I don’t see the original insight but instead it seems that it’s a copy of it, as it’s untitled. What’s strange, it uses additional filters that the original insight does not have. Also, when editing the dashboard I go the insights configuration, I can see those obsolete filters listed there and I’m able to check or uncheck them.Where those ghost filters are coming from? What can be done to get rid of them? Best,Hanna
Hi team,I have copied 3 dashboards between 2 workspaces. After importing the dashboards to the target project, 3 other similar dashboards in the target project disappeared. I cannot see them anymore, but the 3 new dashboards are there. I copied 3 dashboards from this project: havcd723mmm69cs5ujz6d9k4a7ce8 - to this project: audcfba5qtg8k3o8bheiln8p0zdfetqv3. Now in the destination project audcfba5qtg8k3o8bheiln8p0zdfetqv3 the 3 other dashboards are not visible anymore. I have also checked grey pages and I cannot see them there either. Can you please help me to understand why I can no longer see those dashboards?Thank you!
I am currently setting up a dashboard with multiple insights on it. Many of the insights are bar charts where the bars are coloured depending on the product category. However, the colours do not match between insights. e.g. the Helmet category is orange on one insight but purple on another. Is it possible to set the category colours globally so that whenever they are used in a chart they remain consistent or do we have to manually set them in each insight using the settings there?
I have two columns, revenue this week and revenue last week, and I am looking to add a third column which shows the difference between the two. I believe this might be able to be done with a new metric. Does anyone have an idea how to execute this? Cheers
Can the following two insights be created out of the box while using GoodSuccess Tracking?- Is it possible to have a chart that shows me which insight was created by whom (independent of being shared with others)?- Is it possible to create User Groups to track the usage of GoodData per specific department? Example would be Employee A works in Finance whereas Employee B works in Sales —> I might only be interested in the activity of the finance employee. Is there a way to classify our invited users in such a way for further analysis? Thanks in advance! Best regards,Felix
Assume I have category and sub category columnsI wish to use both of them as insight level filtersNow, when i select a specific value in category filter i want to see sub category values which are related only to that category value that is selected. But as of now, Good data is showing all the values of sub category that related and unrelated to the category selected. Please let me know, how can i achieve my requirement?

Hello there,I noticed in my Kantata instance, there is a Date Filter “Date Filter for Graph” that is applicable to a specific graph on an out of the box dashboard, but not to the larger table below. When adjusting the date range, the bar graph will adjust, but the data in the table below will stay consistent with “To-Date” data. Can you please explain how I would be able to apply this? Screenshot below:
When I export a Dashboard to PDF, any long table visualisations is restricted to 24 rows of data. Its fine when using the interactive dashboard because you can just scroll down, but I would have expected it to paginate the results in the PDF export.Any ideas how to get around this limitation? Thanks.
Hello community,In the dashboard, I'm using a bar chart, and since there are many rows, I extended the graph to its maximum length. However, now I see that there are more bars in the graph than labels for the rows. Some row labels are hidden, so it gives me misleading information. Is there any way to extend the widget on dashboard more so that each bar matches each row? Being able to scroll down in the graph would also be useful. Thank you
