Dear all,we have a user in our company who created demo dashboards for our client. However she is leaving and her e-mail account will be deactivated. I would like to change the e-mail address that will receive messages from GoodData to a different one I did not find this option in the Account page. I found some instructions using API to make this change, however, I am afraid I need something a bit more “for dummies”Can you help? Many thanks!Michalnovak@mezzonet.cz
Czech National Library of Technology started to license GoodData and wish to use federated authentication, institutional sign in at GoodData. In GoodData documentation I can see that SAML authentication is supported, but I am missing GoodData Service Provider registration in eduGAIN. Could you register GoodData SP in eduGAIN, pls.?
Hey Support Team,we would like to enable SSO Login for our GoodData Platform and already read through your documentation. The link you provide there tells us to move to the following URL: https://<your-domain>/gdc/account/samlloginI tried accessing this URL via: 1) datainsights.aklamio.com/gdc/account/samllogin → Whitelabeling URL2) aklamio.on.gooddata.com/gdc/account/samllogin → Standard URLIn both cases I do receive the error message you can see on the attached screenshot. Can you please let me know which URL I’d have to access exactly in order to reach the page mentioned in your documentation? Thanks in advance & best regards,Felix
I’m running Gooddata.CN in a docker container. It spins up without any obvious errors.Docker is hosted on a separate server with a distinct hostname (something like gooddata.mydomain.com).When I point my browser to http://gooddata.mydomain.com:3000 I get a page with status 404 and an error:No organization found for hostname gooddata.mydomain.com I also set the enviroment variable GDCN_PUBLIC_URL=http://gooddata.mydomain.com:3000 when spinning up the docker container.Right now I’m not able to spot the exact origin of the error.Any hints and advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance,Mario
Hey, I would like to understand what the recommended order is in terms of setting up the user tracking via GoodSuccess. We are close to the rollout of the GoodData Platform in the company and do not know if it would be possible to set up GoodSuccess previous to sending out the invitations to a specific workspace or is it required to have the users invited to that workspace already before it’s possible to set up GoodSuccess Tracking? Thanks in advance!
Hi Gooddata,We’re using Gooddata.CN v1.7.2.We integrated with Auth0 SSO and everything would be good but most of the cases if you’re not logged in or the session expires and login again in our IDP then go to gooddata url then we get 500 error with a changed long url after the root domain. After if we rewrite the url to the root domain 2x times then the 3rd time login will be success (seamlessly the workspace list appears) and everything looks good.Do you have any idea what can cause this issue? Assuming its on the Gooddata side but haven’t found exact error, where we should find it (and we can send over to you as well)?ThanksZoltan
Hello!I faced the problem of long loading of insights. Why there are so many requests and they hanging for so long? Are all these requests really needed to display only 8 insights? When all this is trying to load only within the framework of the personal dashboard dashboard - it seems that you can still live, but when this happens as part of the introduction to another interface - this waterfall of requests interrupts all others and overloads the entire UI system in general. It can’t be that 3 numbers and 5 charts on 8 insights load for so long, it’s just a return of data, but then you still need to display all this and it also takes time. It can be seen that in total it reaches 100 seconds - this is too much. It could be local server issues, but: Server load (everything is fine, I can show screens that the cores are not loaded at all even with multiple dashboards run). Proxy logic (even by direct link without other libraries or side UI part got long time loading). Drill load (same as
Hi Gooddata,We would like to tune our GoodData application in our Kubernetes cluster.Currently we just use the default values everywhere but it seems a bit slow (all page loadings are slow).I tried to find topic or details about the performance fine-tune but haven’t found detailed documentation about the options. My question would be that what types of tune options we have and where can we change?java/xmx values helm chart options (found some doc) recommended node count/aws ec2 instance types recommended setup for prod for quick page loading (in terms of gooddata - would not touch the db/dashboards topic, it’s a different stuff) - currently the main page which contains the workspace list loads (4 workspace) around 5-6-7 sec, it should be under 1 secThank you!Zoltan
This article extends the article Embed dashboard with a silent login via Okta SSO. We will show you how to embed GoodData.CN Dashboard to custom React.js application with a silent login via Auth0. Before we dive into the problem, let me just say that I am running GoodData.CN and React.js application on my computer — therefore, all API requests are to localhost.Step 1: Create Auth0 Application for GoodData.CNFor successful SSO, we need to create a new application in the Auth0 manage section.Select Applications in the left panel. Click the Create Application button and select Regular Web Application. Fill up Allowed Callback URLs, Allowed Web Origins, and Allowed Origins (CORS). For the Allowed Callback URLs it is important to fill up the correct URL https://<organization-hostname>/login/oauth2/code/<organization-hostname>. In our case, where we run GoodData.CN locally, the URL is http:/localhost:3000/login/oauth2/code/localhost. For the rest (allowed web origins and
My name is Zoltan Mazula and we started to use the GoodData.CN “Self-hosted” version on our AWS infrastructure. My question here is that what is the recommendation and are the options for having DEV/TEST and PROD environments from the GoodData app as well? Can we use the same license key or are there any other options to have more environments for the different purposes? I would think it’s a real world scenario in all software development lifecycles. Thank you, best regards,Zoltan
Hello,I'm working in a French company, and an R&D developer did a demo of GoodData with your Docker version. The demo was positive and now the CEO and others would like to test your product, but with some of our data. Our SysAdmin and myself don't have knowledge of Docker nor Kubernetes. Before paying for training, they would like to decide if yes or no they choose GoodData. We had to install Kubernetes, and it seems we succeed in doing it, by following guides. Here the installation setup. Kubernetes InstallationIn our named DNS software, we added 4 entries:k8s-master A 172.21.0.10k8s-worker1 A 172.21.0.11k8s-worker2 A 172.21.0.12k8s-worker3 A 172.21.0.13We have created 4 CentOS 7 Virtual Machines (fully updated to 03/21/2022):1 socket, 2 cores, 4 GiB RAM for each node.Firewall disabled, Kdump disabled, SELinux disabled, SWAP disabled. The following action was taken on each node, except when specified.Docke
I have found this documentation about how to create new user groups and users, but I need to organize the system not only with users, but with permissions too:How can I authorize under each created user? How can I restrict some users to use only some workspaces? Thanks!
Hello! We have recently implemented workspaces in GoodData, using WhiteLabelling possibilities to change ergonomy of some features in the tool. In the main menu page - the one displaying the list of the workspaces accessibles - we have found 2 behaviours that are looking strange, as they were bugs : do you know more about them? Can they be changed? On the top-left of the screen, we have a word displaying which is the subdomain name of the new URL we are using to access our GoodData domain (« data » in our case). Is this a normal behaviour, or is there a way to change that? This word, alone, doesn’t means much to our users… We changed the logos of GoodData with ours using the WhiteLabelling options, but when coming back to this main menu page, the GoodData icon still shows up for a few seconds in the browser tab before being replaced by ours. Which is strange because no other page of GoodData is having such a behaviour. Is this a bug? Thanks for your help!
New user create account + invitation mail : with whitelabelling, is there a way to update the behaviour?
Hello! We have recently implemented workspaces in GoodData, using WhiteLabelling possibilities to change ergonomy of some features in the tool. Still, we are facing some blocking points, does somebody knows if they are limitations from GoodData PAAS, or just features that we do not know yet how to use?Is it possible to deactivate the « Create your account » link in the login page ? We don’t want that any user be able to create his own account, as it would be useless : by default, a new user cannot access any workspace, so an action by a domain admin is anyway necessary On the other hand, when a user is invited to join a workspace via the automatic mail, is there a way to change the content of this mail ?Thanks for your help!
