Can I limit which insights or reports can be edited by users

Insights and KPI dashboards can be locked for editing using flag “locked”: 1 in “meta” section of metadata object. This flag is set via LCM rollout brick when insights are distributed to workspaces.It can be set also by editing the metadata object via API. Locked insights are indicated by icon in UI (next to insight name) and Save button is greyed. Only “Save as new” button is available. (see screenshot of locked insight in Analytical Designer).

Programatically building the LDM

GoodData platform offers MAQL DDL which can be used to create LDM. There is also API to publish model defined by JSON structure.
