Hi Preetham, you can drill to insights from dashboards as mentioned here: https://help.gooddata.com/doc/enterprise/en/dashboards-and-insights/dashboards/drilling-in-dashboards/drill-to-insights-from-dashboards/

How exactly are you looking to make this work?

Hi,

Attached is my insight present in the dashboard.I want to drill the total quotes and i want to drill it by approved quotes and bound policies. Since, all these columns are facts, I am unable to drill it.PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Preetham,

You need to click on interactions for instead of the configuration. This will give you the options for drilling.

Hi Joseph,

Please find the attached image where i used interactions. My requirement is when i drill total quotes column which is the metrics i created which is the sum of new quote column, pending quote column, approved quote column and all the other columns. So, when i drill the total quotes column, it must show all the other column values. please suggest me which insight i need to use if the table chart doesn’t help.Hope the requirement is clear

Hi Preetham,

You can build an insight with the same attributes you’d like to see in the drilled insight. Then you can select “Drill to Insight” and select the insight you want to build with your chosen attributes.

Hi Joseph,

None of the columns are attributes here, all are either metrics or fact, please help!!

Hi Preetham,

On dashboards, you can enable drilling from facts, metrics, or attributes to any existing insight. By clicking on a fact, metric, or attribute in the View mode (not while editing), the target insight then opens.

Could you please explain, with screenshots, what you are trying to achieve and the exact error/issue you are running into?
