can we apply multiple filter on single attribute in gooddata like given below
j
Hi, it seems that you do not have same attribute under filters but rather multiple different categories -> attributes, if your model, dataset contains the data you can filter on it. I noticed that you already had some questions around filters - pls go through the docu and be more specific.
g
i didn't get it will you please explain in detail
j
Sure no prob. In your screenshot I see a count of members and review of active users. On the left side you filter them by specific categories like what Course they participate in what is the status of the course etc. These are all the values you would typically collect in your app, datasource. I imagine you would have a simple data model in your project with a specific dataset related to courses with collection of attributes like course id, name, type etc. when you create insight with gooddata by uploading the data in such form to the workspace you can simply filter on each of those attributes. Does it make sense?
Now I am not sure what you mean by single attribute - but if you mean to have multiple values chosen in one filter -yes it is possible
g
yes but can we apply more than one filter typw like course type and course status on same attribute
j
Hi Gaurav, we aren’t fully understanding what is needed here. You can certainly select multiple values within a single attribute to filter solely for those values. I believe you have asked a similar question in a previous thread here where we have addressed the levels on which a filter can be used: https://gooddataconnect.slack.com/archives/C01USCF4S10/p1676292619622459?thread_ts=1675955655.271509&cid=C01USCF4S10

how we can apply here filter
i am waiting for your response
please reply

Hi, Jakub here. This should be pretty straightforward… pick the attribute to which you want to connect the filter from the left side and drag and drop to the top where the filters are located. Have you checked the basics in our Univesity?https://university.gooddata.com/
g
i didn't get will you please share any example
