Hi All, I wanted to know do we cache Gooddata entities like facts, metrics, insights, attributes somewhere in our Gooddata cache, or are these entities always fetched from Database with every call ?

Hi Tanuj, Thanks for sending this in, happy to help. GoodData does not cache entities such as facts, metrics, insights, or attributes in the same cache used for query results. Instead, metadata (which includes these entities) is stored in a separate metadata database, distinct from the data source itself. This metadata database is part of the GoodData CN installation—by default, it is installed with the platform, but customers can also configure an external metadata service if preferred.
