Hi, can I disable Scheduled Exports for a specific workspace?

Hi Philip, Actually the best way is currently with the Automation's central management section: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/automation/#central-management
you can filter there workspaces one by one and disable specific schedules
However, if you looking for some "global switch" which would disable all the schedule within a specific workspace at once, I can only offer you a product feedback there.

@Julius Kos What I want to achieve is to disable Scheduled Exports for one of our workspaces. The rationale - within the workspace we have UDF's to allow certain groups to access "their" data. When scheduling an export they see all recipients in the workspace which they should not from a security/privacy standpoint.

🎉 New note created.

Adding another dimension - when thinking and investigating this I started thinking that this could be a monetization for us. You pay extra for Scheduled Exports (enabled per workspace)

Hi Philip, thank you for this update. I believe this can be discussed further with your Account Owner as it is out of our scope. Currently my colleague Julius have submitted the Product Feedback to our engineers. Please, let us to know if you need any further assistance regarding the main request.

The comment about monetization is more for us to implement on our side in our subscription billing, but being able to enable/disable Scheduled Exports per workspace would enable this monetization tiering for us.
The main rationale is - within the workspace we have UDF's to allow certain groups to access "their" data. When scheduling an export they see all recipients in the workspace which they should not from a security/privacy standpoint. This is currently an high severity issue in our SaaS/platform, so it might result in that we have to disable Scheduled Exports completely for all. If it would be possible to disable the "smart search" pre-populating/suggesting recipients and only allow entering/typing in comma separated email addresses in the recipients field would also solve our problem. Or have configuration option to only allow to create scheduled exports with only yourself as recipient (not other users as recipeitns) per tenant/per workspace. I think you get the problem we experience and you know how to solve it the best, but the above is suggestions/examples.

Hi Philip, I have added your problem description and rationale behind this along with the suggestions into the product feedback that was raised. As was mentioned, there is not much more that can be done from Support's side at this point. If you wish to escalate this matter further please contact your account owner Greta Jakubovskaja @Greta
In any case, I believe there’s another solution that should resolve the issue for you for now. You mentioned that we’re talking about UDFs for specific groups, correct? Perhaps the built-in permissions could be an option as well. If you select a specific group, you can remove their scheduling permissions for a given workspace.

@Julius Kos thanks for the above, this is a solution to resolve the immediate issue. We can disable the scheduled exports only for the impacted User Groups.
