Hi, on our headline visuals where we have drilldowns the figure used to be underlined but now there is no visual way to see that there is a drilldown on a visual unless you hover your mouse over the figure. is this an intended feature? is there anyway to get it back? thanks
k
The behavior you're describing—where the underline indicating a drillable headline is no longer visible unless you hover—relates to a configurable setting in GoodData. By default, any label or text that is drillable is underlined, but this can be disabled via a setting. Specifically, the property
disableKpiDashboardHeadlineUnderline
can be set to
true
to remove the underline from headline components with drilling enabled. If you are no longer seeing the underline, it's likely that this setting has been enabled in your environment. To restore the underline, ensure that
disableKpiDashboardHeadlineUnderline
is set to
false
or is not set at all in your configuration. This will make the underline visible again for drillable headlines, providing a clear visual cue to users that drilling is available [GoodData UI SDK: disableKpiDashboardHeadlineUnderline](https://sdk.gooddata.com/gooddata-ui-apidocs/v10.41.0/docs/sdk-model.isettings.disablekpidashboardheadlineunderline.html#isettingsdisablekpidashboardheadlineunderline-property). If you do not have access to this setting, you may need to contact your GoodData administrator or check your dashboard configuration.

Hi that link doesn't work for us and we don't think we have access to that setting

Hi Chris, the AI Assistant is rather referring to the UI SDK where you can enable this setting. You're correct in stating that in the platform, you can not toggle the setting on demand, although I believe there is still a bit of a misunderstanding. When you mention that the drill down "attribute" is no longer underlined in a headline visualization, do you mean a different interaction, i.e., "drill into"? Please be aware that headline visualizations are not able to display attributes, only metrics, therefore they are not compatible with the drill down interaction. With this said, could you share how you have your headline configured at the moment? Once we confirm the underlining is missing, could you also share how critical this visual cue is for you/your users?
c
here is the visual and the Drill interactions that I have set up. normal the main metric would be underlined making it clear that there was more to see. This is pretty critical for us as our users wouldn't easily know what visuals had more information

Hi Chris, Allow me to jump in here, while my colleague is outside business hours. After checking internally, we can confirm that this behavior is unexpected, as nothing was changed on your end. The issue has been escalated to our internal team. While we cannot share an ETA at the moment, we will keep you updated and inform you as soon as it is fixed. Thank you for understanding.
m
Hi Chris, I am glad to notify you that our team has fixed the issue and now the headline visualizations appear underlined if there is a drill into configured. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or frustration this may have created and thanks again for reporting it.

fantastic thank you
