Hi Sasha, the issue here is that you are most likely trying to export a table that contains more than 100k cells in PDF format. Are you able to get the export if you apply filters or more filters to it so that it contains less than 100k cells?

I can't export as pdf

Hi Sasha, Apologies for the back and forth here but I am now confused as previously, you’ve mentioned failing PDF export. The single insights (visualisation) cannot be exported via PDF, it is not supported. Only whole Dashboard can be exported via PDF. You’ve also mentioned that both excel and csv works, so what exactly isn’t working? PDF export of the whole Dashboard? Please clarify and if needed, send us direct link into the insight or Dashboard in question (whole URL, not just object ID please) along with the information regarding what type of export is exactly failing so we make sure we are on the same page here and we can test the behaviour. Thanks!

I am trying to download this via the api

Hi Sasha, I am able to get the export of an insight in PDF format. Please be aware that the PDF format is not officially listed as one of the supported formats in our documentation: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-visualizations/export/, I am not sure if this does have anything to do with the time out you are now receiving. Also, note that by doing this, you do not get the actual insight, but the underlying table. Could you please confirm this table is what you were previously able to get in PDF format? Note that if you rather wish to get the insight, you will need to place it on a dashboard and export the whole dashboard. Thank you again for providing further details.
