Here is another one: We want to add a little markdown section with a red warning text in a bigger font. Is that possible? I don’t see it in the usual markdown options

Hello Thomas, you mean Rich Text on Dashboard? https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/rich-text/
There is formatting to it and if I remember correctly the color goes from theme palette of the project …
t
yep, so can I chose a different color from the palette? and can I somehow increase the size?
j
hm, how about using Heading ?
t
I’m already at Heading 1…
j
and the color is described as to be taken from c6 of the theme https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/customize-appearance/create-custom-themes/
I am not sure about further options but we can definitely check on it…
t
Looks to me like out of the box it always takes a fixed color from the theme and there is no separate coloring option at the moment.
j
yeah, I just confirmed it is just that

I agree it should be possible to just simply define the color of the text. In the meantime if that is important for you, here is a little unnecessarily complicated workaround: Just recently a new feature was released that allows displaying values of metrics in these widgets. These respect the metric formatting, and in metric formatting, you can define colors. So by combining these you can: • define some dummy metric i.e.
SELECT 1
• set its format to
[red] whatever text you want to display in red
• use this metric in the rich text widget
{metric/your_metric_id}
this should display your text in red color:
