Hello Team, I wanted to know if there was any way for us to add an option to the context menu on a visualization object? For example, if we wanted to provide an option to pin a visualization to a different dashboard?

Hi Maria, it’s not possible to update this drop-down context menu. However, perhaps setting up Drilling in your dashboards could help: Create interactive dashboards by adding drills to your visualizations. Drills link elements in your visualizations to other visualizations or dashboards, letting you browse your data in greater context with the click of a mouse. More details on this can be found here: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/drilling-in-dashboards/ Also adding Rich Text to your dashboard could help - The rich text widget lets you embed Markdown content into your dashboards. This includes text, lists, codeblocks, hyperlinks and even images. More details on this topic can be found here: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/rich-text/

Okay I see how we could link two visualizations on separate dashboards like this But what if I want the two visualizations to be sychronized? For example, if the visualization on the main page is showing a certain stat, but it is actually a part of a different dashboard how can i ensure that both the visuals will display the same value, is there a way to link it or will I have to copy the visual?
Also if the user wanted to pick a visual to be linked like this from the main dashboard to say, their homepage, how or where can I add an option to do that, if not in the context menu?
Since it's not exactly rich text

For Drilling into dashboards - The attribute filters from the source dashboard are applied during drilling with the following conditions: The same attribute filter exists on the target dashboard • The attribute is selected in the Filter by section of the widget configuration on the source dashboard • If the visualization on the source dashboard uses attributes to break down measures, the intersection attribute values are used to filter the target dashboard. The same conditions apply. The visualization attribute filters have higher priority than the global attribute filters on the source dashboard. More details on how the filters interact can be found here: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/drilling-in-dashboards/set-drill-into-dashboard/#attribute-filters For specifically Visualization Drilling, and not from the dashboard = The target visualization ignores any filters configured for the source visualization in Analytical Designer. More details on how the filters interact can be found here: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-dashboards/drilling-in-dashboards/set-drill-into-insight/#filters-in-visualization-drilling
