When cross-filtering by clicking on a label's value (in a repeater), the cross filter's filter title in the filter bar takes on the name of the underlying column, not the label's name. this has lead to some confusion

Hi Daniel, Thanks for reporting this. Let us double-check this. Would it be meanwhile possible to add some screenshot of the issue to clarify what’s happening exactly? That would help a lot.

See the column titled "Industry/Sector" in the repeater. that's a label name, with an underlying field called "Product seen". I clicked on the "footwear" label value to cross filter, and when appears in the filter bar is "Product seen = "footwear""

Indeed. The filter title is always named as per the default label value while cross-filtering. I think this might be expected but I admit it can be confusing. To be sure, let me double-check this with our product team. If we confirm this to be technically expected, I presume you would like to raise a product feedback, correct? We will get back to you. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with our product.

correct presumption, thanks

Hi Daniel, thank you for reporting this. We can confirm this is not the expected behaviour. There is currently an open ticket with our engineers to fix the filter name, but at the moment I cannot provide an ETA. Our apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.

Hi Daniel, I just wanted to let you know that we have already created a fix for this issue and we will be deploying it on 4th of November. Please see the below: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/whats-new-cloud/#What'sNewinGoodDataCloud?-UpcomingChangeColumnNaminginRepeaterVisualizations
Hi Daniel, just a heads up - as was promised, the fix was deployed yesterday. Feel free to check from your end. πŸ‘πŸΌ
