With the latest UI changes, I have a couple of questions/thoughts. 1. We don't want to show the parent support space for our tenants. How can we avoid the below dropscreen for users? 2. Can we set default dashboards? Is there a way to set a default dashboard for a specific role so when they log in, they go directly to that dashboard?

Hi Ryan, allow me to answer your questions. 1. If the end users are added to the child workspaces only (via user groups), they will not see the complete hierarchy as shown in the screenshot, but only a list of the child workspaces they have access to, however, if the previous UI suited your needs better, I can check internally if we can re-enable this for your organization. 2. This is currently not possible from the platform, but if you are embedding GoodData into your own app, you may define the dashboard in the URL, as shown in this documentation. May we know your use case and how critical this is for you?

+ 1 on 2. being critical. Currently creating a redirect flow on our Auth0 tenant so we can bypass this by collecting the user's workspace id and redirecting into the workspace to avoid this landing page. This and a few other lacking white-labelling features really negate the whole purpose of white labelling for users who are not using gooddata.ui.

#2 is insanely critical; we have a relatively large hierarchy with 30+ tenants underneath, as well as nearly 50 users who are multi-tenant for purview. So It's something we need a proper approach to handle.

Hello Ryan, I would like to clarify that the recent UI changes are targeted only at admins (users with organization manage permissions). For others there is no change.

🎉 New note created.

@Ryan Peters and @Paiwand Karem, I have gone ahead and submitted product feedback on your behalf to highlight this missing functionality to our developers. It may be possible that setting default dashboards for users in the platform would considered for future product improvements, but at this time I am not able to guarantee this. Since you have mentioned this is critical for your business use case, I have reached out internally to your respective Account Managers in case a follow up is needed here. You can also reach out to them proactively any time for requests like this.

I think setting a default dashboard in a workspace would provide a decent solution and avoid workaround involving Auth0 redirect or unnecessary embedding. In a true WL experience, our end users don’t need to know workspace menus, etc…
