Hi, is it possible to have a table insight column header blank? I tried removing the alias and it replaces with the default data column value.

I'd like for the column header with "investment" to be blank

I do not think this is possible through UI but it may be possible to edit metadata object via API and set the empty alias there. You may try to use ZERO WIDTH SPACE unicode character as workaround.

What is the API to update metadata inside the insight? Does the propose solution need to use both metadata update api and the zero width space? Can something be done in GoodData-cn while creating the insight?

I have checked it and change of metadata does not help. You can try to copy&paste the character from the refereced page to the text of attribute in "rows" to change the column header.
