What's happening with GD? Every time when I add date and change it to days this pop up window appears!

Looking at your screenshot, I can see you have a "Service Date - Week/Year" date dimension in your visualization, grouped by Week. The "Your changes are not saved" pop-up is a standard unsaved changes warning in the Analytical Designer — it appears when you try to navigate away before saving. However, based on your description of issues when changing the date grouping to days, there are a couple of things worth checking: 1. Check how your date field is modeled A known issue can occur if your date field is modeled as a plain attribute rather than a proper date dimension. When a date is used as an attribute, it can cause unexpected behavior. The recommended fix is to ensure your field is modeled as a date dimension in the Logical Data Model (LDM), and then use it in reports as a date dimension with the appropriate granularity (e.g., day). [Community Slack] 2. Check available date granularities in the LDM If the Day granularity is not enabled for your date dimension in the LDM, it may not work correctly. Hi Akmal, We have checked and cannot reproduce the issue by simply adding a Date attribute and changing it to Day. From the screenshot, it appears that the data is grouped by 'Week,' and I understand that you want to change it to 'Days' in a completely new visualization. when we start to create new report, and drag date field and then change granuality to days this pop up appears. Every time!!

I can see is in your own application. Can you confirm how it is embedded? We will need a HAR file for a quick look. Have you try to drag first a metric or attribute and then the date?

Hi Akmal, I was asking if you are using Iframe or not, as I can see it seems is your custom Application, you are not directly using our GoodData platform. Now, thank you for the video that helps but I am wondering how you get there. But I would like to confirm something else, by the video I see you are not open the Analytic Designer directly, seems you are editing an insight previosuly saved, from the Dashboard in edition mode, no? I see also the 'Untitled Visualization' thus, I am not sure if is a completely new viz. or not. Can you clarify all the steps you are doing, please?

@Mauricio Cabezas it doesn't matter if you are doing it from scratch or editng existing. Problem is it wasn't like this before, And we are getting complains, people don't know what to do and get confused when this appears!

Hi Akmal, Kindly confirm if this issue also happening directly in the good data platform. Or alternatively, we could help check this using impersonation. The impersonation feature enables quicker issue support and resolution. GoodData Support uses impersonation in cases when it is a more effective way to investigate and resolve an issue. This feature is available only for internal authorized GoodData Support personnel. It allows GoodData to examine a GoodData Cloud environment with the same rights and restrictions as the user in order to resolve support issues.

Hi Akmal, Thank you for your patience, and for the detailed videos and information you shared — they were very helpful. After further testing on our end, we were able to reproduce the issue you reported: when editing an insight from a dashboard (either through the dashboard's Edit mode or via "Explore from here") and changing the granularity of a date attribute, the editor can either close unexpectedly without saving, or show an incorrect "unsaved changes" warning. We've reported this internally to our engineering team for a fix. In the meantime, as a workaround: if you need to change a date attribute's granularity, editing the insight directly in Analytical Designer (rather than through the dashboard's Edit mode or "Explore from here") does not show this issue, so that route should work reliably for you. Currently we do not have an ETA to share, but we'll keep you posted on progress. Thanks again for flagging this and for your patience while we investigated.
