Hello, we have set up to new Admin and they do not get the invite when I set them up but we reset their password and they are now getting 404 error. I have attached the user setup and the error they are getting. Any guidance on this one? {"detail":"The requested endpoint does not exist or you do not have permission to access it.","status":404,"title":"Not Found","traceId":"32e1e6a8f3669a6e6df21e6ffd8eddcb"}

Looking at your situation, there are two issues at play: the missing invite email and the 404 error after the password reset. What's Likely Happening Based on similar cases in the community, the most common causes are: 1. Your org is in a managed OIDC → own OIDC transition — In this state, invitation and password-reset emails are disabled. The user (Kevin Nguyen) was created in the GoodData organization but may not be correctly provisioned in the authentication layer (Auth0/managed OIDC). [Managed OIDC off] 2. Missing or incorrect
authId
— The user record exists in GoodData (as shown in your screenshot), but may be missing a valid Auth0/OIDC ID, causing the 404 "not registered" error on login. [Auth ID missing] The 404 error with
traceId: 32e1e6a8f3669a6e6df21e6ffd8eddcb
is consistent with a user existing in the org but not being properly provisioned in the authentication layer. [Unknown Error cases] What You Should Do There is no self-service fix for this — it requires GoodData Support to resolve. Please: 1. Contact GoodData Support at support.gooddata.com and provide: ◦ Your GoodData hostname ◦ Kevin's email:
knguyen@hiveway.com
◦ Kevin's user ID:
kevin.nguyen.c04a1129-220b-4930-afc1-519c5756c568
◦ The `traceId`:
32e1e6a8f3669a6e6df21e6ffd8eddcb
◦ Description: user was added via UI, no invite email received, and now getting a 404 after password reset attempt 1. Ask Support specifically to: ◦ Confirm whether your org is in the managed OIDC → own OIDC transition ◦ Verify that Kevin has a valid
authId
/ Auth0 ID and fix or provision it if missing [Manual user creation] 1. After Support confirms the fix, have Kevin go to your GoodData login page, click "Forgot password?", and use the reset email to set a new password and log in. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups. 👀 Our Support team monitors all messages and will jump in if needed.

Hey Justing. We've looked into the issue with Kevin's login and have a clearer picture of what's going on. In short, Kevin's account exists in GoodData, but it isn't properly connected to your login system. So when he tries to log in, GoodData can't recognize him. Looking a bit more broadly, it appears a few other accounts in your organization may have the same problem, which suggests something in the way new users are being set up isn't quite working as expected. To help us understand the full picture and fix this properly for everyone (not just Kevin), could you help us with a few questions? 1. How do your users normally log in to GoodData? What login provider do you use? 2. When you add a new user, how do you do it - through the GoodData interface, or through some other process? 3. Do you use any kind of automated user provisioning? For example, do you create users via the API? 4. Have you made any recent changes to your login or user management setup - for example, switching login providers, updating any integrations, or changing how new accounts are created? 5. How urgent is this problem for your team? We want to make sure our engineers can review the full setup and fix this properly rather than patching it one user at a time. If there's no immediate emergency, we'd like to schedule a proper look so we can sort out the root cause for all affected accounts at once.

The users (Kevin) is just part of our engineering team (we recently switched teams) and I am simply logging into good data, going to users, clicking add and putting in his details, selecting admin group, checking system user, the. Add. There are other users that we provision via our application, but they access good data through our application. We make it visible to them via goodata being visible in our window. That part is what the new team is evaluating as I believe it was not implemented properly from the team we removed. I am simply trying to get engineers in via your site to figure out what is going on with our application and the integration with GD. Make sense?
I got him in via mine as this is critical but we need him to be setup so he can take over the admin role and get the other engineers in.

Kevin's account should be fixed now. Could you ask him to try logging in? He'll need to click Forgot Password and follow the reset link to set his password. If he runs into the same error again, please let us know.
j
Asking now
Yes. He is good. Thank you so much for the great support!
s
Great to hear, happy we could help! One thing to flag — the way users are currently being provisioned will need to be reviewed on your end to prevent this from happening again.

@Shamil Akhmadyshevmy account deleted due it being a trial account when i signed up initially.. is it possible to send a invite to this workspace from your side? I am not receiving an invite email. same email as above
cc @Justin Buckley

Hi Kevin, I can see that your account was deleted today by an admin user in your organization - since we're not able to make user changes directly within your project, you'll need to ask your admin (for example, Justin) to add you back. Could you reach out to them and ask them to: 1. Log in to GoodData Cloud as an admin. 2. Go to organization settings (gear icon) - Users. 3. Click "Create user". 4. Enter your name and email, and assign you to the right user group / permissions. 5. Save.

@Shamil Akhmadyshev We've tried deleting the user and re-creating, but i do not see any emails from good data. can you help us here? thank you!
s
@Kevin Nguyen @Justin Buckley Hi Kevin, hi Justin, Thanks for your patience while we dug into this. I found the root cause. Your organization is currently set up with a "custom identity provider" configuration, but it's pointing at GoodData's own authentication system rather than a provider of your own. Because of that mismatch, the "Add user" screen in your organization shows an Authentication ID field meant for organizations bringing their own login provider - which isn't something you have - and as a result, invite emails aren't being sent when new users are added. That's why Kevin's account and Yoni's invite before it ran into trouble. Before we fix the configuration, I want to confirm which setup you'd actually like going forward: 1. GoodData-managed authentication (recommended if you want us to handle logins for you) - when you add a user, they automatically get an invite email from us and set their own password. This is the simplest option and what most customers use. 2. Your own identity provider (e.g. your company's SSO, Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, etc.) - you manage user accounts and logins through your own system, and we connect to it. This requires some setup on your end.

@Shamil Akhmadyshev option 1 sounds good. please go ahead. cc @Justin Buckley

Hello @Kevin Nguyen and @Justin Buckley, This is Branislav from the L2 Technical Support team. I am reviewing the setup and I can see that there are multiple users corresponding to Kevin. Could you please share with me via DM the user id of the particular user that was invited and has issue(s) so I can fix the account?
k
messaging you via dm
b
@Kevin Nguyen, as agreed via the DM, I fixed your primary account and removed the two unused and extra ones. Please set your password using the "Forgot password?" link on the login page, follow through the flow and let us know if you are able to login to the organization without any issue(s).
