Drill to visualization is n ot passing all filters to Report

When drilling into a visualization, filters may not all be passed due to several reasons: Filter Sources and Configuration GoodData groups filters by source when configuring drill interactions. The Filter selection panel (which replaced the older "Pass as filter" option) lets editors explicitly choose which filters are passed to the drill destination. Filters are grouped into: • Drilled data point – filters from the value you clicked • Dashboard – date and attribute filters applied to the source visualization • Visualization – filters defined on the source visualization in Analytical Designer • Metric – filters on the specific metric you drilled from [Filters in Visualization Drilling] Common Reasons Filters Are Not Passed 1. Filter selection is disabled: In the drill configuration, individual filters can be unchecked. If a filter is deselected, it won't be applied to the drill destination. [Disable Passing Filters] 2. New visualization filters are unchecked by default: If you add a new filter to the source visualization in Analytical Designer and save it, the new filter appears in the drill filter list but is unchecked by default. You need to manually enable it. [Filters in Visualization Drilling] 3. Ranking filters cannot be passed: Top/bottom ranking filters are shown as disabled and cannot be passed to the drill destination. [Filters in Visualization Drilling] 4. Date filter from source visualization is not transferred when drilling into a dashboard: The date filter from the source visualization is explicitly not transferred in drill-to-dashboard scenarios. [Drill into Dashboard] 5. Filter Application Mode: If "Apply All at Once" mode is enabled, only applied (confirmed) filters are passed to the drill target — pending filter changes are not included. [Apply All Dashboard Filters] How to Fix • Open the drill configuration on your source visualization (click the ellipsis → Interactions). • Click Filter selection and review which filters are enabled/disabled. • Enable any filters that should be passed to the drill destination and save the dashboard. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups. 👀 Our Support team monitors all messages and will jump in if needed.

Is Date filter pass from Dashboard to drill to visualization @kapa.ai
k
Yes, the dashboard date filter can be passed when drilling into a visualization, provided it meets the right conditions. According to the filter sources for drill-into-visualization, Dashboard filters (including date filters applied to the source visualization via widget settings) are one of the available filter sources that can be passed to the drill destination. [Filters in Visualization Drilling] Key Conditions 1. The date filter must be applied to the source visualization: The dashboard date filter is only passed if it is configured to filter the source widget (i.e., the "Filter by date" option is enabled in the widget settings). 2. The filter must be enabled in the drill's Filter selection: In the drill configuration, the dashboard date filter must be checked/enabled under the Dashboard group in the Filter selection panel. If it is unchecked, it won't be passed. 3. New filters are unchecked by default: If you recently added a date filter and saved the visualization, it will appear in the drill filter list but unchecked by default — you need to manually enable it. [Filters in Visualization Drilling] What Is NOT Passed • The date filter from the source visualization itself (defined in Analytical Designer) is a separate filter source and its passing depends on whether it is enabled in the filter selection. • If using Filter Application Mode set to "All at Once", only applied (confirmed) filters are passed — pending changes are not. [Apply All Dashboard Filters] How to Verify Go to your visualization → ellipsis menu → Interactions → click Filter selection and confirm the dashboard date filter is checked under the Dashboard group. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups. 👀 Our Support team monitors all messages and will jump in if needed.
