Good afternoon everyone, I'm having trouble calculating the margin indicator for the total number of rows. When I use the average option, it calculates the average of the rows, which isn't correct. When I use the rollup option, it returns a random value or something I don't understand. Could someone help me? Regards, Tomas.

Hello Tomas, Thank you for contacting us! While looking at our internal tools, it seems that this is referring to a project, that is under TOTVS token. TOTVS is our exclusive partner in Latin America and responsible for helping all our customers in this region. If there is any incident that requires GoodData’s action they will immediately reach us! You can contact TOTVS' support team by emailing them at suporte.gd@totvs.com.br or accessing TOTVS Customer Portal at suporte.totvs.com. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience here, 1. If your goal is overall margin for all rows, try using Rollup (Total) on the margin metric and ignore the Sum/Avg rows for that column. The Rollup value will generally not equal the average of the row margins; that’s expected, not an error. For information about the rollup function, see Aggregate Table Data. 2. If you need a custom “overall margin” metric outside of table totals (for further calculations), you can define it directly in MAQL as something like, SELECT SUM(Profit) / SUM(Revenue) BY ALL OTHER ,so it always behaves like the rollup/overall ratio. Kindly refer to our documentation for more information on this. https://help.gooddata.com/classic/en/dashboards-and-insights/analytical-designer/visualize-your-data/insight-types/pivot-tables/#PivotTables-Aggregatedata Hope this helps!

Good morning Yvonne, I'm writing to let you know that I'm in charge of GoodData platform implementations for Totvs in what's considered the international market (Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, etc.). Therefore, unfortunately, I don't have anyone to consult with on this issue. I'll rephrase my question, and perhaps you can help me. In the report I'm sharing below, the last column calculates the margin between the two columns highlighted in yellow. It does this correctly for each line of the report. The problem arises when I want to calculate the same margin for the entire range of the highlighted columns, where the AVG or Rollup function doesn't return the correct value. Thank you very much in advance. Regards, Tomas.

Hi Tomas, Thank you for your clarification on this and apologies for any incovenience caused. We will look into this issue and get back to you as soon as possible. Are you also able to share a direct link to this report? Thanks.

Yvonne, good afternoon. Unfortunately, my client doesn't allow me to share the report.

Hello Tomas, without a link to the report, it is very difficult for us to troubleshoot this issue and investigate. TOTVS support should have access to all workspaces under their tokens. This is why they act as first line of support for their clients. Then, if they have any issues, their support team can open a ticket with us and provide links and troubleshooting details. Based on your screenshot, it is a bit unclear as to what the actual issue is. The documentation on aggregating table data can be found here: https://help.gooddata.com/classic/en/dashboards-and-insights/reports/working-with-tables/aggregate-table-data/ Should you need any further assistance, we will need more details as to what doesn't work exactly. However, I would suggest to reach out to TOTVS since they are more familiar with their custom solutions and LDM's.
