Hi Team, On custom colours in visualisation bars: I have a visualisation that returns no data when unfiltered (as expected), but gets populated when added to a dashboard and specific dashboard filtering criteria are added. In this scenario I find myself unable to edit the bar colours to match the rest of the dashboard, as when editing the visualisation, this goes back to being empty (see image). Is there any workaround for this?

Hello Raffaela, Thank you for the question. This is an intended behaviour due to having no data to configure. One workaround that might work is to add a temporary filter to produce some data and apply colors later, but mind you, if underlying data is always empty without dashboard filters, it might not work. (Though you said that you have dashboard filters).

Thanks Ismail - the problem is temporarily applying a filter in the visualisation (the filter is at metric level) and a colour is not persisted when I need to return the visualisation to its unfiltered state for the dashboard

Hello Raffaela, It is indeed possible that we were not thinking about such scenario and we might need to raise a product feedback on this. Before we do that, could you please share with us the Dashboard in question and example visualization? We would like to check the issue directly.

Hi @Julius Kos apologies for the wait. I have sent you the links via DM.

Hi Raffaella, So far we were able to test this with the below scenario in our environment. We've created a Visualization and set custom color on it, then added a date filter (e.g "This month" in this case) which makes the visualization empty (No data for your filter selection): However, when date filter "All time" is applied on the Dashboard, I can see that the color is preserved, even though the original Insight is empty (see the last screenshot).
However, your use case might be bit different. You have also mentioned a metric as a filter. Unfortunately, I was not able to test that in your environment. One last question here - could you please confirm the exact criteria (filtering) how to make your visualization computable with filter and also what filters should be applied on Dashboard to make the visualization appear? Once we have this information, we can perform some final test and confirm. Thank you!
