New Feature (Experimental): Aggregate Awareness
We’re excited to introduce
Aggregate Awareness in GoodData Cloud—an experimental feature that automatically redirects analytical queries to the most performance-efficient dataset based on the required level of detail, with no user action needed.
What’s New?
•
Smarter Query Routing: Queries using SUM, MIN, and MAX are dynamically rerouted to pre-aggregated tables when sufficient granularity is available, boosting performance while keeping metric behavior consistent.
•
Clutter-Free Integration: Aggregate tables can be added to your data model without creating noise in the data catalog.
•
Source Agnostic: Works with both materialized views maintained by databases and aggregate tables maintained by ETL jobs.
🚀
What’s Coming Next: We’re enhancing Aggregate Awareness to support more aggregation functions and broaden compatibility across data sources.
