Hi Team, I want to combine data from both the Awards and Intake datasets. At the moment, if I select an attribute from Intake (e.g., Intake Status), the Awards dataset is no longer visible. Could you help with this ?

Hi Vivek, Thanks for sending this in, happy to help. The reason why attributes from the

Awards

dataset disappear after selecting attributes from the

Intake

dataset in the Analytical Designer is likely because of how those datasets are connected or related in your Logical Data Model (LDM). When you are looking at the LDM in GoodData, the direction of the arrows (references) is very important. You need to ensure that the datasets are well connected so that when building metrics and insights later on, you will be able to filter by anything which is either in the same dataset OR in a dataset which is connected against the direction of the arrow. In this case a possible fix could be ensuring that e.g the

Intake

dataset, is connected against the direction of the arrow from the “`Awards`” dataset. Please refer to our documentation on this which provides some details on how to model your LDM accordingly. Let me know if this helps.
