Hi team - was there a change to how Excel exports are generated? We're seeing a different font and font weight in downloaded Excel files - wondering if there's been a change in the defaults, or if this is something we can/should handle via white-labeling. Thanks!

Hi Anant, can provide details as to if any formatting has been applied, or any changes had been made to the viz itelf?
a
No, the specific widgets we've tried this with (mainly table visualizations) have not meaningfully changed
The Excel file formatting also looks different in environments where we have made no recent edits
j
One more thing, can you provide details on what exactly has changed? I've tried to dig up some old xlsx exports on my end, and I do see a slight change in font size of the header cells? Could you provide screenshots if possible?
a
Here's a quick before and after - the old format seems to be Verdana, size 8; the new format has a combination of Aptos and Calibri, with mixed font weights (regular, bold)
j
Thanks, I'm not seeing this same formatting in my own org. Could you please send a direct link to the table from the screenshot? You can do so in a DM

Shared via DM - thanks!

Hey Anant, GoodNews! it looks like the engineers will be able to revert this during business day tomorrow. We will keep you posted with any information as it becomes available.

hello Anant, can you please confirm if you are seeing a change in the export?

Hi @Joseph Heun - yes I can confirm that the Excel format is back to the original version for us

Hi @Joseph Heun it looks like there was a new option to "include sheet with export info", but I cannot find any documentation on how this is supposed to behave. For example, exporting a table visualization or a widget gives you the option, but when you drill down to tables within a widget, it doesn't appear the option is available. Can you please provide any info here?
j
Hi Brett, this is currently not a supported feature in the drilled in visualizations. I can try and mark this as product feedback on your behalf if you would like.
b
Hi Joseph, you can add this feedback for me. Thank you. I was just more concerned about expected behavior for our end users and expectations for when this option is checked so I can add it to our internal articles.

🎉 New note created.
