03/18/2025, 1:35 PMHello all, I created a dashboard on parent workspace, and also a user group with one user in it,
When i am trying to share this dashboard to some user group OR user, through share button, I am not able to see any user or user group in the dropdown, rather only one option all users. Is this a bug or i need to make any config change to allow user groups and users to reflect in the dropdown option.

03/21/2025, 6:02 AMHi @Moises Morales this is very weird for permissions let me share scenario,
• I have created a dashboard on my parent workspace 'Visibility test' and kept it private
• Create a userGroup 'SuperAdminTest' and added only my admin account under this
• Then on newly created dashboard that was private earlier, now shared it with this new user group 'SuperAdminTest'
• But now, when i loggedin in good date with another user login credential who has only member access not admin, and navigating to all parent & child workspaces , and i can see this new dashboard 'Visibility test'
• Not only this but most important thing is this member user can see and click on the share button on this new dashboard which was shared to only 'SuperAdminTest', this is complete bug on permission level
This need to be fixed @Moises Morales else no use of share / permission , admin / member roles then if everything everywhere can be accessed by all users

03/25/2025, 6:43 PMHi Shubham, my apologies for the radio silence. Could you please confirm whether the user that was not added to the dashboard was a member of any other usergroups? Additionally, does the dashboard remain private for any other users?

03/25/2025, 6:44 PMAlso, note that the dashboard permission is not a security feature. We recommend using WDF and UDF for proper data access control.

• Dashboard private for other user : we have only above user as member user rest all are admin user so they can see this dashboard
• note that the dashboard permission is not a security feature : Then Could u recommend any solution here, requirement is "Sometimes a admin want to create a dashboard or Metrics or Analyze which should be accessible by only admins and once they decide ok this looks good now, then can make it available for all child workspaces"
• WDF this is for data but in our case we are looking for dashboard/analyze/metrics

03/27/2025, 9:56 PMThanks for the details. I am having a hard time reproducing this, is the Smata Test user a member of any group? If so, could you please share the group permissions?
Only admin users should be able to see private dashboards indeed, could you make sure you are in fact logged in as this user? You can try accessing the dashboard under this other user on a different browser of private tab.

04/09/2025, 5:16 AMHi @Moises Morales Actually i cannot provide data detail as the testing dashboard that i had created for above scenario we had to delete this as it started reflecting in child workspaces which client are accessing, so with the scenario above i provided can we please investigate, its basically the permission issue
also if things doesn't help can u provide correct solution for below requirement:
"We have parent workspace and few child workspaces for each clients as organizations. We have admin and member users admin are our internal team but member users are the clients who have access to their dedicated workspace. Now our requirement is to have such feature/setting so on parent workspace when we create a new dashboard or Analytics and share with only Admins then only admin can access it (even if it inherited to child workspace), but not by member users"
