02/03/2025, 4:18 PMHi Thomas, to evolve the LDM, do the following:
1. Alter the relational model of the database.
2. Refresh your data source.
3. Update LDM using one of the methods described in Create a Logical Data Model.
If you have made custom changes in the LDM that you do not want to lose by generating the LDM automatically, or if you want to add complex LDM elements that cannot be auto-generated, update the LDM manually. Otherwise, generate the LDM automatically either in the LDM Modeler or by using the API.
4. Save the LDM.
5. Evaluate the updated LDM in Analytical Designer.

In the LDM modeler, how do you change the

02/03/2025, 4:43 PMevery time I try, it seems to work, then I go to analyze or whatever else and the numbers are very clearly still the original data source. I return to the modeler and the data source is back to whatever it was at the start, no change effected

02/03/2025, 5:17 PMHi Thomas, to avoid processing the same data by querying your database over and over again, GoodData stores computed results for your analytics in an internal cache. However, if new data arrives to the database, you need to refresh this cache to ensure your visualizations display the latest data. More details can be found here:

Firstly, can you please explain what would be the expected outcome here - are you trying to update the LDM and existing datasets that have already been populated with data? You are then trying to trying to update those datasets with a new datasource? Also, can you please tell me if this relates to a “Child” workspace?
