Hi Good Data team, happy new year! šŸŽ‰ We have set up an automation cascading down any LDM changes from one workspace to all the others automatically. When we make changes to a data point (e.g. converting an attribute into fact), we are aware that there is a risk of breaking some visualizations. Since we are not manually doing the change in each workspace, is there a way to easily see if the change will create breakage in any of the workspaces in our account? Many thanks in advance for any suggestion šŸ™

Hi Rafaella, How exactly have you set up this automation? Does this function only between orgs or throughout all different workspaces in a single org? Essentially, we can help search our internal logs when something breaks, but it's a good idea to understand what is being called to our side so we know what to look for exactly. There isn't an auditing tool on our end, but if you are using your own automation for these actions, it might be a good idea to record the logs from that perspective.

Hi Joseph, we have one org and the changes in one workspace are synced to all other workspaces in the org. The sync is one directional and there is a unit handling the change of data source to the correct one for each workspace. The following items are cloned from what we consider the "parent" workspace to all other "child" workspaces during the sync: • Insights • Metrics • Logical data model (Note: this is not leveraging the good data parent - child functionality) When manually changing LDM in a workspace, we do get an indication from good data tool if the change affects any existing metrics or visualization for that specific workspace. How can we leverage this existing feature but have a comprehensive view of all the current workspaces?

Hi Rafaella, I'm afraid we will need to mark this as product feedback as it isn't exactly available at this moment. Could you please let us know how critical this functionality is for your business?
Hi Raffaella, I just wanted to let you know that our engineers are working on an extra feature for monitoring changes like this. It could possibly help in your use case, as it would act as an audit of sorts to see what all has been done in the workspace. We do not have an ETA just yet on this, but you can follow our release notes for further updates.

Hi Joseph, thanks for your response; this functionality would be pretty critical for us as we want to be able to apply changes while minimizing disruption to our customers; seeing this summary of metrics / visualizations that could be impacted in different workspaces could allow us to notify those customers in advance. Thanks for the update re: this extra feature - any additional auditing capability would be extremely important for us!!
