Running into an interesting issue with the LDM. Here is a picture of a dim table. Whenever I use case_id in a table, the results do not work but not sure why
m
Hi Doug, do you receive any error message? Can you check the browser console/network tab there if there is some error? Is the case_id mapped correctly and does the mapped column have supported datatype? Don't you have a custom sorting set to some other column (and does that column elstill exist in the table)?
d
No Error Message. Just no data when adding case_id. I'll provide you the links in private message

Hi Doug, I will access the domain from the support side of things. Could you please DM me the links?
Hi Doug, thanks for the links. I've accessed the workspace and tried adding Case ID to a singular table, and I see the following error: "detail":"The limit for the maximum size of the dimension without metrics was exceeded. Limit: 100_000. Actual: 113_431."} However, I'm able to display the attribute in the table by using a metric and a filter. Can you please confirm if you are able to get the attribute to display in the table through filtering? Furthermore, I noticed the setup of the LDM is not in an ideal shape as it resembles a star. You can find some tips here on how to optimize the LDM (e.g. tip no. 5): https://university.gooddata.com/tutorials/data-modeling/logical-data-model-five-pro-tips-for-data-modelling/

hey Joseph in the private message, i sent the exact report with filters that shows the issue. can you refer to that
j
OOh, sorry, the link you sent me was just to the LDM itself. Could you please send a direct link to the reprot?

@Joseph Heun i forwarded the message. it only shows you the start and you have to click see more from the entire thing..its how slack does it..all the information is there
im reference to the article..ive read it and have been following all those tips. having re read it. i can move things around do arrows point left to right but that wouldn't change how it functions..i think that is what you meant
I think your referring to this point
