Hi Friends, It looks like user group permissions aren't behaving right on our production dashboards. Users in the user group have view-only permissions for workspace "Screenlake Platform". This works great except for what seems to be a glaring issue. There is still a "+" sign (add dashboard) visible and clickable by view-only users. As shown in the gif included here, clicking on that plus sign brings the user into the analytical designer (!), where in some cases the total analytical controls actually appear and then go away after a second, leaving the user in the backrooms without a way out. How can i properly hide that plus sign? As far as I understand it shouldn't be visible in the first place.

Hi Daniel, Sorry for the delay on this. I'm unable to replicate the same behavior in my environment. Could you please confirm that the users are only in one user group with the assigned viewer role? In one of my tests, I found that if the user was still in an admin group, they still had admin permissions. I'm just wondering if that is the case here? Also, is there a difference in your embedded environment vs. the UI?

Hi Joseph (and thanks also the Moises who DM'd me). As funnily basic as this suggestion sounded: "if the user was still in an admin group, they still had admin permissions.", that's all it was. There was a miscommunication within our engineering team. GoodData did no wrong
