Hey team,
We are considering using Gooddata for our external facing app. We are not wedded to our current data platform. What back-end technology is giving you the best latency and performance for smaller datasets? Are there benefits to moving to technologies that can be in-memory?

Hi @Marcel van Vliet,
Let me share with you this article that goes over choosing a data platform for GoodData or Analytics in general.
Let me know if this helps, we can setup a call to discuss further as well.
I'm headline familiar with most of them. I mean with Duck DB and Ballista both supporting Flight SQL - does that mean we get other advantages talking directly to Gooddata.

Hi @Marcel van Vliet,
It really depends of the use case, your data source and some other aspects. There are several case studies available at our webpage. We can also provide you with some demo, if needed.
Question is, would would you like to achieve with GoodData? If I understand it correctly, you'd like to embed the analytics into our existing app, correct?
Have you tried our GD Cloud Trial already?

Yes, we've established that GD has the technical capabilities we seek.
What we have is an existing custom app that we might be looking to migrate to use your platform underneath.
We are not bound by our current architecture in making this switch. So we want to know what you all consider the best performing data engines that compliment your specific architecture.

The choice of the data engine/data source is completely up to our customers.
