Whats the best way to know the following questions (I do have access to the API if thats the only way). 1. What metrics are not being used in any visualizations 2. What visualizations are not being used in any dashboards 3. What visualizations have not been looked at in 6 months. 4. What dashboards have not been looked at in 6 months We want to know this information to start a clean up effort of what is in gooddata.

Hey Doug, checking internally I see that you already have access to your Org’s Usage Analytics workspace. That would be your best bet for gathering this kind of usage data about your GoodData Cloud domain. Have you checked it out already?

Maybe I don't understand the data in there, but I can only see how I could answer 3 and 4. Not sure about 1 and 2.

On second thought, you are probably right! I’ve been looking into how to grab the info from 1 and 2 from the APIs; There is a way of finding out via the UI, though! When you go to the Metrics tab, you can open a metric and check on which Visualizations it is being used. The same goes for Visualizations - opening them in the Analytical Designer allows you to check on which Dashboards they are being used. I understand checking them manually, one by one, is quite a bit of work. I’m checking to see if there’s a more “humane” solution available! 🙂

Yes, its a bit too much work. I'm ok to programmtically build something, just need to understand how one API can relate to the other. Like maybe I get the metric ID and then see if that ID is in any visualizations
