Hi Team , I am trying to use a double sorting functionality for a Table representation of data, which should allow me to sort first by column A and then follow the sort to Column B. • The objective is have a sort flow from A to column B Could you suggest me a best approach to this.

Hi Lalit? I’m not sure if I understand what you’re trying to achieve here. Could you please explain in more detail what exactly you are aiming for? (feel free to include some screenshots or example pictures) Also, could you please confirm the SDK version you are currently using?

Hi Julius, Kindly refer to the screenshot, So, what i trying to achieve is to Sort desc for overall Rating in custom order, then followed by desc order for Portfolio Weight, Could you direct me to where can i find the SDK version of my good data.
j
Apologies but I’m still not sure what should be the desired output. Can you please create some table in excel which would show the desired result?
are you asking if same attribute values like
AAA
or
A
in the column can be sorted by Portfolio Weight value as well? Meaning which
AAA
or
A
“should go first”?
If this is the case, I believe the closest solution for your use case would be using mixed sorting. Please refer to the documentation below: https://www.gooddata.com/docs/cloud/create-visualizations/sort-data-in-insights/#mixed-sorting

Hi Julius, I just collecting some more information to provide you a better understanding of my expectation. But in a nutshell this is what i would like to see : kind a like multi level sorting in excel, As suggested , here is example i am created in excel.
Additionally, based on the documentation, i would expect to see a mixed sort functionality, but seems like its missing on my end, Could you help more

I see.. This sorting only works when you switch to different type of visualisation, for example column chart:
Once you switch, the Sort option will appear. This is probably by design, but I will double-check internally. Also, if you wish, please let me know and I can submit a product feedback on your behalf so we can consider this to be added to tabular report as well.

Hi Julius, Firstly, thank you for the Quick feedback on the Request, and Secondly, I would like to raise a formal product feedback to include this functionality for Tabular format as well as other Graphical representation within UI. Additionally, I would like to know the timeline of such request and the turn-around for such functionality to be included in the UI
