Thanks Tomas. It looks like as long as we don't invalidate the cache, data is not updated. So GD doesn't have an automatic mechanism to invalidate the cache?

Right, caches have no time to live (TTL) expiration set, they are evicted based on the least recently used (LRU) cache replacement policy.
