Vertica does not support sampling on top of views. We no longer offer Data sampling in the Analytical Designer when the physical model contains views. Released July 12th, 2021.New FeaturesThe following features are introduced to GoodData.CN in release 1.2.0:Approximate CountUse the new APPROXIMATE_COUNT function to return the approximate number of unique values for an attribute. The returned value is a statistical estimate and not an exact figure. This function can increase processing speed when analyzing large datasets. You can also toggle the use of APPROXIMATE_COUNT instead of COUNT from Analytical Designer. The feature is available only for workspaces using a Vertica Data Source.For more information, see APPROXIMATE_COUNT.Data SamplingUse data sampling to quickly determine the viability of a particular insight by processing only a percentage of the total available rows in the associated data sets instead of processing all of the data.
