This article should describe how to quickly check the service announcements related to the GoodData for Freshdesk application available from the Freshworks Marketplace.

The application is fully supported via this public community support forum and the typical user should receive such information directly via the relevant article. But this is not the only place where the users can see GoodData updates.

The standard lifecycle of the GoodData for Freshdesk application will be affected by the periodical maintenance and releases of new functionality.

All news related to GoodData platform operations (including platform status in case of outage) can be found here: https://support.gooddata.com/hc/en-us/ (GoodData Platform Tab - Service Announcements).

(You can also subscribe to the news by choosing to follow each article, by clicking on the "Follow" button in the upper right hand corner in the relevant section. For this we require the registration and login to our support portal. )

In case of outage and so called Severity 1 situation you can later use this registration for raising  support tickets and direct follow up using the user friendly interface of our helpdesk support portal. (please note that the evaluation of the ticket and possible redirection to the community is fully in the hands of the GD support personnel and the full information is available in the support policy document).

In very rare cases you might need to check where your data is physically stored. That information is useful when, for example, a planned maintenance window is announced and you want to find out whether your operations could be affected.

GoodData operates data centers in multiple locations but in relation to Freshdesk application there are two relevant places based on your Freshdesk datacenter: Chicago (US-1) located in the United States and Frankfurt (EU-2) located in Germany. This information will be highlighted when it will be relevant for announced activity.
