Sync Headline Report with Dashboard Filters

I have created a Headline report and brought it to the Dashboard. On the same dashboard, I have applied some filters. Now I want the Headline Report to get changed when I change the filters on dashboard. Please help.

When you add a new report on a dashboard, all filters apply by default (unless you explicitly disable that in the dashboard editor).

However, the dashboard filter may take no effect in some situations:

  • If the filtering attribute is not connected with the data behind the measure in your report (in layman’s terms, if the headline report has nothing to do with the filtering attribute).
  • If the measure in the headline report is specifically designed to ignore dashboard filters, for example using the WITHOUT PARENT FILTER MAQL clause.
