I have two columns, revenue this week and revenue last week, and I am looking to add a third column which shows the difference between the two. I believe this might be able to be done with a new metric. Does anyone have an idea how to execute this? Cheers
I am trying to make a report that shows the total number of calls/jobs vs the number of calls/jobs with a ticket of at least $189, broken down by team member. I would also like a report showing the total average invoice, broken down by team member. And the MTD/YTD totals, broken down by team member. Additionally, if we can separate all of these by tags such as commercial vs residential. Is there a way to set all of this up? I've been playing around and I think I have found the average invoices and MTD, but that is about it.
Hello I have a data model, with no apparent empty values in the date field. However when I create visuals or even just a table with the date values (no fact/attribute data) there is always an ‘empty value’ label when no date filters are applied. Is there a way I can exclude the ‘empty value’, which has no data populating it. This is primarily for aesthetics. ThanksGeorge
I’m looking to use the line chart to create a budget burndown report in Kantata that works in the following way.X AxisWeekly timeline based on Project Start Date and Project End Date Week = Sunday - SaturdayY Axis Target burndown trend line based on Project Hours Estimate / number of weeks between Project Start Date and Project End Date Trend line beginning with Project Hours Estimate, populating week over week with Hours Remaining Begin with Project Hours Estimate (total available hours) Each week, add a data point based on Remaining Hours Bonus if this can be combo chart with a weekly column to display hours used each week.
I have some data that is recognised as geography on bigquery, however when I import into gooddata it is recognised as a string. How can I change it to be geography so that I can use the geo attribute functions within insights? I also have the individual lat and long coordinates imported if it is easier to use them? The combined coordinates are in bigquery in the format “POINT(X.XX X.XX)”.
Hello I have created a conditional metric to calculate revenue (see screenshot below). I want to show the revenue by date in a bar chart and have an attribute campaign filter so I can select the revenue for the specific attribute. I have created a table with the date, the attribute and the metric and it is showing me the revenue by campaign and date. However, when I try to change this to a bar chart, removing the campaign attribute and have only revenue and date, the visual breaks. The campaign attribute and pricing model is based off a different attribute table in my model to the fact table which includes the date.I need a chart to show overall revenue by date, that can be filtered by the campaign. Thanks
When I export a Dashboard to PDF, any long table visualisations is restricted to 24 rows of data. Its fine when using the interactive dashboard because you can just scroll down, but I would have expected it to paginate the results in the PDF export.Any ideas how to get around this limitation? Thanks.
Hi!We’ve encountered some strange error and we cannot find any way to identify the problem. We’ve using GoodData.CN development edition in docker container. The issue comes up after a minute or so after opening “Analyze” tab:We can’t do anything after that. Here are the logs from the server:ts="2021-06-30 08:17:07.585" level=ERROR msg="Failed to start computation" logger=com.gooddata.tiger.grpc.client.aqe.AqeClient thread=grpc-default-executor-6 spanId=13ea4090fa414b5e traceId=13ea4090fa414b5e exc="errorType=com.gooddata.tiger.grpc.error.GrpcPropagatedServerException, message=UNKNOWN: ,<no detail> at com.gooddata.tiger.grpc.error.ErrorPropagationKt.convertFromUnknownException(ErrorPropagation.kt:108) Suppressed: reactor.core.publisher.FluxOnAssembly$OnAssemblyException: Error has been observed at the following site(s): |_ checkpoint ⇢ Handler com.gooddata.tiger.afm.controller.ElementsController#processElementsRequest(String, String, ElementsOrder, boolean, boolean, String, int, int,
Hello!I have a funny situation where after adding a date to rows when creating an insight, not all dates in the select have proper names displayed. Our LDM assumes, that apart from regular date fields there are also few custom ones, that our customers can define freely, those are Group Custom Date Field 1-6. Once customers have defined their custom fields, we’re renaming them according to their settings. Here you can see that Group Custom Date Field 1-3 have been renamed to Project Scheduled Date…, Contract Signed Date … and Closeout Date & Time...In the date select, for regular date fields I can see their proper name, however, for those custom ones, there’s original name displayed (Group Custom Date Field 1) instead the one after renaming. What can be done to have date displaying proper name? Another issue is that the name is transformed and consists only of what’s in parenthesis if they are in the name. Here you can see only COM name. What naming conventions have to be met to have

Hello there,I noticed in my Kantata instance, there is a Date Filter “Date Filter for Graph” that is applicable to a specific graph on an out of the box dashboard, but not to the larger table below. When adjusting the date range, the bar graph will adjust, but the data in the table below will stay consistent with “To-Date” data. Can you please explain how I would be able to apply this? Screenshot below:
Hi all,I'm trying to aggregate an insight by weeks. When I move the relevant date to the X-axis, it only offers aggregate by week (Sun-Sat), not the week (Mon-Sun) option. See the attached print screen.I changed my settings to have Monday as the first day of week. But still no luck.Where can I change the weeks starting on Monday for individual insights? Thanks!Adam
Hello, i have a reference insight and i don’t know how the ‘Policy Count - SP year ago’ in the metrics are calculated and why the same column is unchangeable as in to view the calculations done for the same column. Please do help me to solve this issue to create a same insight in another workspace and consider the attached image too!! Hi Folks !I'm reviewing GoodData, and of course I'm here cause I have some really basic questions. To make the example easy, I'have a data set with 3 fields user, start end date (subscriptions base data). I'm trying to build a simple chart in which each MM-YY as (X axis) and count the active subscriptions (Y axis). user start end 1 jan-22 dec-22 2 jan-22 mar-22 result would be (bar char): 2 2 2 1 1 jan-22 feb-22 march-22 apr-22 … rest of months ... The issue I'm encountering is that GoodData is associating the date with only 1 date field either start or end. How can achieve this?I read date-attribute-arithmetic, if I understood correctly that won't solve my query, as it calculates the duration by a given granularity
